In October of 2005 Las Vegas hosted its first ever Sumo Championship at Mandalay Bay. I was privileged to get great seats and a decent three day travel package online and off I went. I have been a Sumo fan for about ten years since I first saw live Sumo on ESPN 2. Here are some pictures from the trip. The highlight of my trip was getting pictures with some of the Sumo gods. I had to fight off hoards of Japanese female fans in order to do so, making the pictures even more of a prize.
